Men’s Fashion – How To Look Good In 2011
Men’s fashion trends do not exactly change in the blink of an eye. Though rather resistant to trend jumping, men’s fashion does indeed alter from time to time. Because the styles hang on for awhile, familiarity tends to be the name of the game in men’s fashion. In order to remain fashionably topical, however, the favorites of previous years require some tweaking, and that is what is occurring in the current men’s fashion trends. Casual and confident are the preferred projections of male chic.
From the world of the well-known comes the suit. They are certainly not new entries to men’s fashion trends, but they are just as popular as ever. White suits in particular are experiencing a resurgence of favor, so men who wish to stand out will want to be sure to choose a cut or a material that is not seen on every street corner. As attractive as a white suit is, uniformity with others is sometimes detrimental. Style without an ostentatious display is still achieved with a single-breasted suit.
Jeans are another article of clothing that maintain their popularity in the wake of trends that have come before. This does not mean that it is acceptable to wear styles that have exited stage left. For example, those skinny jeans that spoke of teenage angst and hip style are gone, replaced by bell bottoms and flared jeans. Men have taken this cue from their female jeans-loving counterparts. It is not altogether accurate to apply the term bell bottoms to the popular style of today’s jeans, as they are slightly larger than a boot cut. That is where the term “flared” comes in. A man wearing bell bottoms probably would not be scorned, though.
Vivid colors are enjoying the spotlight of men’s fashion at the moment. Vibrant blues, reds, and greens offer their services to many types of shirts, slacks, and jackets. For a stylish shirt, men need look no further than the ever-popular T-shirt, and unlined jackets are also favored choices of men looking to remain presentable. As always, leather jackets complement outfits well.
Do not misinterpret the old familiar fashion faces as boring and redundant. They are still stylish because of a few tweaks and twists and the fact they were done right the first time. Casual confidence is the name of the game rather than outfits that show off feathers. Subdued yet sharp clothing is now at the forefront of men’s fashion.
