The Harmony of Bonsai Pot and Bonsai Display Stand
What are the commonly shared properties between bonsai pot and bonsai table? From a design angle, they have two commonly shared properties: symmetry and balance. A couple of of them are more conventional than others, but they are generally thoroughly symmetrical. By all means, this doesn’t count in other bonsai ingredients like Oriental figurines and reed mats. These pieces are noncompulsory, and usually uneven.

Their placement, dependent to each other is neutral. The role of the bonsai stand is to be an addition of the bonsai pot and upraise the bonsai tree into a more formal and honorable position. It adds grace and distinction. And it’s very much graceful.
As in the other circumstance, it displays an uneven placement of the pot. We have two axis of symmetry and we are restricted to look at the bonsai pot and bonsai stand as two individual objects. Counting on the position of the pot, we can shift back and forth the visual center of gravity of the bonsai stand/pot cosmos.
Comparing the two circumstances, the first one has a fixed balance. The second one comes with a certain tensity and motion caused by the arrangement. However, the two placements are neither right nor wrong. Their appropriateness will rely upon how they be recognized in the whole proposition.
