The i7 950 Processor Review
After doing a bunch of reviews previously I’ve learned that a quick and straightforward practice for initially figuring out the genuine value of a product is to investigate the product assessments on Amazon. The reviewers are usually users of the product and they are not slow to post a bad review if they are let down. Most people though are not so quick to post a positive review if the product meets their expectations.
So I was greatly encouraged after checking out the reviews on Amazon for the i7 950 when I discovered it had a 5 star rating and 43 people had reviewed it. Actually just one lone reviewer gave it 4 stars while everybody else gave it 5 stars.
So the first one I assessed properly was this single four star award. It looks like this reviewer used his existing cooling fan and not the one supplied with the processor. He was very complimentary and enthusiastic about the i7 950 itself. For this reason he felt he couldn’t give the full 5 star assessment because he hadn’t actually used all the equipment.
It has to be highlighted that the common belief is that there is one issue with the i7 950 processor. Nearly all people would advise the use of a high specification fan cooler instead of the one supplied, particularly if you plan to overclock it.
It quickly became obvious that the i7 950 was very well received by nearly all users and testers who have reviewed this product. It has created for itself a lot of affirmative feedback because of its ease of installation, its ability to be overclocked, its stability even when overclocked and its performance. The final clincher is the price, which, when compared to the market average, makes it a very attractive proposition.
